Mountain Top Engagements | Telluride Colorado Engagement Photographer | Abie Livesay Photography

Mountain top engagements are my favorite. The unexpected question parallels the thrill of the flying down the slopes and the joy couldn’t be warmer in the brisk, fresh, Telluride air. If you aren’t familiar with the trails here, the Telluride Ski Resort shares everything you could ever want to know. And in case you didn’t know, Telluride is a gem! Her history, her people and her sights are just the beginning of an extraordinary experience. Colorado Ski spills the beans, and I couldn’t agree more. I’d love to help you plan the perfect, snowy engagement whether you prefer the blue squares or the double blacks in life, I’m here for you!

Dedicated to Perfection | Telluride Colorado | Telluride Wedding Photographer | Abie Livesay Photography

“Abie is simply THE BEST. My fiancée and I got engaged in Telluride, CO in January of 2021, and I needed a stealthy and professional photographer to capture the surprise moment. Abie was extremely professional in the planning leading up to the proposal, detailing out exactly where to meet and how to go about the surprise in our favorite town.
Abie's photography skills are unmatched. She knew exactly where to take us around town, and was dedicated to making the experience perfect. We got pictures in various locations on what was a freezing day in Telluride - describes Abie's dedication to perfection! Her editing was incredible, and our pictures turned out exactly as we wanted!” -John

A Reason to Celebrate | Abie Livesay Photographer | Telluride Wedding Photographer

Being in the wedding industry for over 15 years, one may think that it could get a bit redundant, but here I am, still waiting to get bored! No matter what the scene, the location and the guests, the happy couple is always the reason for the smiles. In a setting like the Telluride mountains, there’s no competition. So, I say go for it! Get that dress that makes you feel alive. Go with the details that you love, and forget the rest. You’ll be immersed in the moment focusing on your forever “I do” that you won’t miss a thing. YOU are the reason for the celebration.

Off-season in Telluride | Telluride Sleighs and Wagons Wedding | Telluride Colorado Wedding Photographer | Abie Livesay Photography

It’s off-season for our sleepy little mountain village which means Telluride and her people take a few weeks to absorb and cherish the summer and prepare for the season that she shines the brightest—winter. Although there isn’t a lot going right now and the Gondola is closed until Friday November 19th, that doesn’t mean we are without things to do. This is the perfect time to soak up the warm sun with a bike ride, hike or walk before the snow begins to pile up. Go to that restaurant you’ve been wanting to try out, just check out this list to find out which ones are open during off-season. Spend some time planning the rest of your year, prepare for the holidays, and just rest. Here is the best place to make your plans for the next few months.
As I close on the busiest part of the 2021 wedding season, I’m grateful for a few quiet moments to dream about winter and to reflect on some of the most beautiful and real moments with my brides and grooms. I’m so thankful for my clients, this place I call home and the gift of capturing your most precious day. Thanks for trusting me with your day, your people and your love!

xo, Abie
